CHESTER, the Dog

Chester, the DogEveryone always wants to know how Chester is doing. Who can blame them?  He's such a great dog, and he's been through so much.  He had a pretty rough time this past spring and summer battling his liver disease and the side effects from all the meds he's on.  Special Holiday Greetings to all his friends at the Truesdell Clinic and the UW Vet School! It'll be a happy holiday season for Chester and the rest of his family this year thanks to all your good care.

Chester has acquired quite a bandanna collection.  Nothing perks him up, no matter how ill he is, than putting a new bandanna on him. (Photos of Chester's bandanna collection: Coming in 2008 on ChesterDog.Net.) At the vet school, one woman always tells him how much she likes his "bling" and how sexy it makes him!

MochaMiss MOCHA

Mocha will soon celebrate her 15th birthday.  Like many seniors, she has some pills that she takes and for the most part, she is cooperative. It is amazing how agile she has always been and still is.  Mousies Beware! Her favorite pasttimes include sitting on the screen porch and curling up on the white afghan, which she and Muffin share. Her big dream is that someday she will win Cat Fancy Magazine's Most Beautiful Senior Cat Contest.  If only she could get Mother to enter her photograph, she would be sure to win!

Mrs. MUFFIN

MuffinTen years ago this past St. Patrick's Day, Muffin showed up on our doorstep. Knowing we needed to be rescued from the stress life brings, she took the job as family therapist.  She's been very busy ever since.  Whenever she senses we are stressed, she comes to comfort us. If we don't settle down, she taps us with her very large paws.  If needed, she'll even nip our feet till we calm down. It's usually prudent to agree to the therapy session and lower your heart rate.

Muffin is quite pleased to report that she has lost almost a whole pound  in the last year.  Perhaps there really is some truth to her claim that she is NOT FAT, but very FLUFFY

Mr. President LINCOLN

LincolnLincoln has a full-time job watching birds, twanging the doorstops, and consuming household paper goods (toilet paper, napkins, kleenex).  He enjoys screen porch time with Mocha in the evening, chasing his tail, and loosening the Velcro on the back of our recliners. He seems to like everyone he meets which is a bit unusual for a cat. Don't be fooled, though, by his easy going manner.  He ignores what we say the same as every other cat who has owned us.
