A word from Chester, the Dog concerning his year:
Still go to work every day. Quite a few of those evil brown trucks snarlin' through the neighborhood. Those robins are pretty dangerous, too. Running all over the yard. Yup. There're up to somethin'. We're safe for now. They don't like the snow. The folks got me some new beds this year. Now me and the puddies have one on every floor. Ma says they're '"orthopedic" beds. Not sure what that is. Somethin' to do with my legs not working as well as they used to. But I can still chase her when she squeaks hedgehog and howls: "Old Bones Dog, you can't catch me!" I don't care much for the winter cold. Fella's gotta do his job outside regardless. I do like rompin' in the snow. My favorite part is my red coat. It keeps me warm, but the best part is that Ma has to bend down to put it on me. I get some sweet talk or some kisses more times a day 'cause of that. It makes the winter worthwhile. Always keep your tail waggin', I say! Happy Howlidays, Chester, the Dog |
